Another fun baby plan session with these darling twins. This is their nine-month session which is, of course the next to last of our baby club sessions. Ava and Viv were such tiny little things just a short time ago but they are getting ready to graduate. It happens too fast! What a tremendous journey for this pair.
This one was pretty smooth going but we wanted the images to say something even more personal. That can be hard to do in a studio session. We’re obsessed about molding the photography to you and not having you feel like you have to make your family fit our photography. A really neat way to do that with any session, not just a studio session, is to bring a prop that has personal meaning to you.
How we fit the photography to them:
At all nine-month sessions my goal is to somehow show how your baby is starting to stand, not by herself but assisted. They are “cruising.” This means we usually incorporate a chair or something big and sturdy that they can hold onto while standing. Mom and dad had a great idea: they brought in a couple of chairs that were hand built by the babies’ grandparents and uncle to use in the session. They were beautiful creations. Bringing in your own props is a perfect way to “fit” the photography to you.
The girls were peaceful and in great moods throughout the session. Mom and dad picked out a pair of darling, simple pink dresses that are perfect for the kind of simple, clean and timeless look we go for our baby portraits. The rest was timeless, classic children’s portraits I’m very proud of.
The other thing we did was to show these little girls’ early passion for books. These girls are growing up surrounded by books. We included some in the session with the girls to show how easily they (sometimes) share and interact. Enjoy
