We have been shooting weddings extensively since 2003. Chris Cummins, Glow Imagery's chief photographer, shot his first wedding in 2000. Aside from shooting more than a 100 weddings, Chris has a degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri and more than 13 years of full-time professional photography experience working for himself and for various newspaper across the country. Chances are we have shot at your location. There are some benefits to having previous experience at a location but it is nowhere near as important as some would have you believe. If you were hiring an inexperienced photographer it might be an issue but we are very experienced. Our photographers have created adored pictures at scores of Kansas City wedding venues with no previous experience at the location. In our 13 years of full-time professional experience, our photographers have shot presidential visits in dimly lit gymnasiums, we have shot pictures in caves and we have shot award-winning pictures in hurricane waters up to our necks. Do you want the same pictures a photographer has made at every other wedding they have shot there? Or do you believe a fresh set of eyes can find a fresh approach and perspective to your wedding and its location?

Yes. However the great majority of our weddings are shot with one photographer, Chris Cummins, who is Glow Imagery's chief photographer. You have the option of adding a second photographer for your wedding be it through one of our packages or as an additional item. The photographer is a competent and professional shooter. In fact, Chris' wedding photographer from his own wedding shoots as a second for Glow Imagery from time to time.

We don't offer special pricing for individual clients. It is Glow Imagery's policy to keep our pricing consistent for all of our clients. It is important to us that you know you are paying the same amount everyone else is being required to pay, no more and no less. We believe that treating you with fairness and integrity is not optional, but a requirement. We do offer a couple of packages that are not featured on our investment sheet to help clients in certain situations but those prices are the same other clients in similar circumstances are offered.
- We do not provide discounts for Friday and Sunday weddings. Each wedding, regardless of where it falls on the calendar or during the week requires a substantial commitment from us in terms of time and resources.
- Wedding photojournalism is a term that has become much abused by the popularity of the term in recent years. It is our view most wedding photographers claiming to be wedding photojournalists are not true wedding photojournalists. Wedding photojournalism is wedding photography that relies upon photography from the genuine, un-posed moments of your wedding day to tell the story of your wedding experience. We do not set up or arrange shots to look as though they were candid photos. Wedding photojournalists only take control of the scene and events during the posed formal portrait portion of the wedding. It is more than just candid Black and White photographs of the bride getting ready. Wedding photojournalists do not rely on excessive photoshop tricks or tons of detail shots. We assemble a collection of photographs to tell a narrative story of your wedding. These photographs should strive to tell the story of the two of you and how you feel about one another without tricks or gimmicks.

Yes we do travel for weddings. Contact us with the details of your destination wedding and we will be happy to furnish a proposal for you.

We create a first draft of your album on our own. We send an online gallery of the layouts to you so they can see which pictures were used and how they were used. We allow you an interval of time to select the images you want to be change our eliminated as well as alterations to the layout. We find this speeds the process and takes major chore out of the album creation process for our clients.
