Rachel and Jarrod came to us almost a year and half ago. They had received warm praise from the staff at Meadowview Gardens about our work. Rachel did not seem to be the type to want to jump into things to hastily but after talking for a few minutes it was clear she and Jarrod felt like I was going to be a good match for what they needed.
As the wedding drew near Rachel and I set aside some time to develop a more detailed schedule and photography plan for the big day. We did this over the phone and it was obvious Rachel was feeling pretty overwhelmed with the whole experience of planning a wedding. Add to the list of worries, her main contact and planner at the venue had left for another position at a different wedding venue. So much stuff felt so up in the air with little time to put it all together.
With only weeks to go until the wedding, Rachel and I had our planning chat and it was clear this bride needed someone to help her from feeling so overwhelmed. I decided the most important thing I could do is to help her with that. It’s not just about creating great photography for me, I take a lot of pride in being a vendor that can make the whole wedding experience feel smoother and less stressful.
Our Favorite Part of the Wedding:
It had to be watching Jarrod’s reaction when he first saw his bride. Jarrod, a guy’s guy through and through, looked like he got hit by a truck when turned to face his gorgeous bride. He shed a tear or two as she stood next to him. Neither Rachel or I expected that to happen. But she did look like a million bucks.
